Alexander the Great was a Macedonian king and one of history's most successful military commanders. Born in 356 BCE, he ascended the throne at 20 after his father, King Philip II, was assassinated. Over the next 12 years, Alexander created one of the largest empires of the ancient world, stretching from Greece to Egypt and into Asia. His strategic genius, relentless ambition, and charismatic leadership led him to conquer vast territories, including Persia and Egypt, where he was hailed as a divine figure. Despite his early death in 323 BCE at 32, Alexander's legacy and influence on history remain profound. Summary by Dream AudioBooks
