About?

A Scottish radio station owned and run by musicians. For people who want to listen to more flexible playlists containing more than one genre of music, and not governed by the UK official charts. Chief Radio is named after Kirstys nickname. From Leith, Kirsty (the Musical Director of Sing in the City) was leading one of her choir rehearsals. Her auditioned choir, the 'Aw Blacks' unrehearsed and simultaneous in movement pointed to Kirsty, whilst singing the line from the Proclaimers song, 'Sunshine on Leith, 'while the chief', and Kirsty has been known as 'The Chief' ever since.
