On 1st September 1939, 25-year-old Lorna Lloyd began her diary of the war. In 2022, 25-year-old Bethany Ray played her great-great aunt Lorna in its audio version. This was produced by students at Edinburgh Napier University for the AHRC-funded project ‘Platform to Platform’ led by Bruce Ryan, Hazel Hall, and Iain McGregor. The series was a runner up in the British Record Association's Janette Harley award (2022).
