Legend has it that the straightest "back-road" in the county, "The Mile Straights" was THE spot for amateur drag racing during prohibition while "Hotel Hill" marks the spot of the historic Patrick County Mineral Springs Hotel and Resort where people like Theodore Roosevelt and Elvis Presley passed through.
