A Walk on the Mild Side invites you to slow down and step outside with Matt and Dave for a gentle ramble through Norfolk’s landscapes. Part walk, part conversation and part musical journey, the show blends field recordings, local history and a thoughtfully curated soundtrack to create a warm and immersive listening experience. In this debut episode, the pair follow the Weavers’ Way from Felbrigg to Aldborough, wandering through rolling fields, woodland paths and medieval churches. Along the way they explore the stories hidden in the landscape — from sheep and weaving to social change — with plenty of laughter, curious tangents, fascinating facts and the soft crunch of footsteps underfoot. Each walk ends as it should: at the village pub, pint glasses clinking and stories still flowing.
