Abdul Wahab Waheed is an American Islamic scholar, teacher, and co-founder of the Miftaah Institute and Michigan Islamic Institute. Born and raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan, he began memorising the Qur’an at a young age and completed his hifdh by age eleven at Jaamiah al‑Uloom al‑Islamiyyah in Canada. He then pursued a seven-year advanced Shariah programme in Toronto before heading to Karachi, Pakistan, to study Hadith at Jamia Binoria under renowned scholars connected to Al-Azhar, Madina University, and Umm al-Qura. After completing his formal training, he specialized in Islamic jurisprudence and teaching. He began instructing in Vancouver at Al‑Ihsan Institute and held positions as a khateeb and lecturer throughout British Columbia. Alongside his teaching, he delivered community lectures and sermons across Canada and the United States. He actively shares his knowledge through the Miftaah Institute, where he offers structured classes on Fiqh, Hadith, Arabic grammar, and spiritual development. He also serves as Director at the Michigan Islamic Institute, guiding educational outreach in the Midwest. Abdul Wahab Waheed is a sought-after speaker at conferences and retreats on themes such as spiritual growth, family guidance, and Islamic ethics. His clear delivery and balanced approach resonate with students young and old.
