Ballyraven Cryptid Wildlife Protection Agency
The Ballyraven Cryptid Wildlife Protection Agency is an organization dedicated to studying cryptids, paranormal and supernatural organisms, strange phenomena, history - and nature in general! From folklore, scary stories, and sighting reports, to interviews, scientific studies, field trips, and more–the BCwPA explores the myths and real lives of our world’s rarest creatures, visitors, places, and happenings. ***About the Artist*** BCwPA and all of its content is created by Kristen Cox, an Appalachian artist from southern Ohio. Episodes are thoroughly researched, with witness and historical accounts recreated; creatures are then imagined as if they are real, living, breathing animals (based on information from folklore, sightings, and cryptozoologists), then followed like a nature documentary. Learning about their daily lives and quirks, cryptids and paranormal creatures are given the aspects of local, usually equally strange, organisms. Series are ended with a discussion of what is real or not, what was fabricated or taken from legend. Appealing to both skeptics and believers, BCwPA hopes to entertain you with popular cryptids, obscure monsters, and ghostly experiences in a unique, fun way, while also teaching you a few animal and science facts along the way. Cox, or "Ballyraven", takes submissions and questions for new episodes, if there is a local cryptid in your area you'd like to learn more about!
