Bird on a Branch traces the roots of our mental, emotional, and metaphysical symptoms so we can heal them and rise to our fullest potential. Hosted by Carrie, a holistic health practitioner, trauma-informed coach, and founder of Vital Treasures (a nod to the Three Treasures of Traditional Chinese Medicine: mind, body, spirit), the show connects the "woo" and the science: nervous system regulation, emotional literacy, and lived experience, without clinical distance and without judgment. The show's thesis is simple: everyone carries big-T and little-T trauma, and healing starts with finding the original wound, not to relive it, but to stop bleeding it onto the people we love. The name comes from a moment during a plant medicine ceremony, and a proverb Carrie holds close: a bird on a branch during a storm trusts not the branch, but its own wings. That's the heart of every episode: learning to trust yourself so completely that even if your branch breaks, you know how to fly.
