blaxxRADIO is blaxTARLINES KUMASI's podcast platform hosting sonic experiments and interventions including live music/open mic events, interviews, recordings, story-telling (call-and-response) spanning Ghanaian genres such as Adadamu, Kologo, Borboorbor, Nwomkro, and Palmwine Highlife. This portal can hosts improvisational music sessions, curated playlists, spoken word, and a multitude of human and non-human sonorous forms. The content generated for blaxxRADIO for the 61st International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia by Koyo Kouoh will accumulate across the entire duration of the Biennale (May 9 - November 22, 2026) and will be sourced from Kumasi, Venice, Kampala, and elsewhere across five continents. In addition to the online-hosted podcast platform, the setup at the Arsenale in Venice will consist of portable audio devices equipped with headphones. In tandem, "The Shrine," a music recording studio set up co-managed by Chris Parker Edzordzi Sefogah(Megborna) at Tech Sec on KNUST campus, will also function as a project space out of which we can produce and programme events for blaxxRADIO.
