Born of Water is a space for honest conversations about faith, culture, relationships, identity, community, and figuring this life out! As a young Soulaani/Black American woman from Birmingham, Alabama, I wanted to create a space where people could talk about God, coming of age, HBCUs, music, [Black] history, society, our mistakes, feelings, & everything in between. The name “Born of Water” comes from John 3:5. Jesus says we must be born of water. Water represents movement, change, cleansing, and learning to go with the flow, wherever God is taking us! Come sit with me cousins, let’s talk!!
