Commissioned To Lead is a Christian leadership podcast for women who know God has placed something significant within them but find themselves wrestling with fear, self-doubt, comparison, or the feeling that they aren't qualified enough to lead. If you've ever questioned your calling, minimized your gifts, or confused fear with humility, you're in the right place. Leadership wasn't invented by culture. It wasn't reserved for a select few. It didn't begin in a boardroom, a church staff meeting, or a corner office. It began in the Garden. In Genesis 1:26–28, God created humanity in His image and entrusted them with responsibility, stewardship, and influence. Before there was sin, there was purpose. Before there was striving, there was assignment. Humanity's first calling was to reflect God's character and steward His creation. This is often called the Creation Mandate, and it reveals that leadership is part of God's original design for His people. Sin distorted that calling. Fear replaced faith. Shame silenced voices. Purpose gave way to hiding. But God didn't abandon His design. Through Jesus Christ, our identity is restored, our inheritance is secured, and our mission is renewed. In the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18–20), Jesus sends His followers into the world with His authority to make disciples, represent His Kingdom, and influence generations for His glory. The Creation Mandate finds its fulfillment through Christ's redeeming work, and every believer is invited to participate in His mission. That's what this podcast is about. Each week, Angela Buckland explores the intersection of biblical identity, Kingdom leadership, spiritual growth, and practical discipleship to help women move from insecurity to obedience. Together, we'll dismantle the lies that keep us small, uncover the truth of God's Word, and develop the confidence to lead wherever He has called us—whether that's in ministry, business, the marketplace, the classroom, the home, or the community. We'll have honest conversations about calling, courage, influence, spiritual formation, servant leadership, purpose, faith, and the everyday challenges of following Christ with your whole life. Because leadership isn't about titles. It's about stewardship. It's about saying "yes" to the assignment God has already placed on your life. Your purpose was established at creation. Your favor was settled at the cross. He created you with leadership in mind. He gave you a voice. He gave you influence. Now it's time to use them. The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.
