The legendary New York Cosmos are making a comeback, returning to professional soccer in 2026 as an expansion team in USL League One (the third tier of American soccer), playing at the historic Hinchliffe Stadium in Paterson, NJ. Led by new owner Baye Adofo-Wilson and featuring former star Giuseppe Rossi in a leadership role, this new iteration aims to build a community-focused club, cultivating local talent and honoring the Cosmos' iconic legacy that once featured Pelé.
