Creative at Work helps corporate professionals and creative entrepreneurs tend to their artistic selves and unfinished projects with uncanny tactics and (im)practical advice. Host Lindsey Galloway, a journalist, screenwriter, and entrepreneur, has worked on both sides of the corporate/creative divide. For years she held a day job and dreamed of the day her creative work would pay the bills. When a paid screenwriting gig finally came, the magic drained out. She found she loved making things on her own terms, with no rent riding on them. Weaving creativity into the daily grind of day jobs, caretaking, and running a business (usually all at once) made the rest of her life brighter, and it took only a few hours a few days a week. Each week, Lindsey shares the tactics that felt like play, broke open her process, and helped her finish her "someday" projects. Those projects became award-winning screenplays, a poetry collection, and adventerous travel stories for BBC and other outlets.
