Welcome to Fascists and Fasciae, an ode to the human body and a dissection of its role in medicine, philosophy, art, politics, and everything in between. Hosted by two ultracrepidarian medical students, Brendan James Clark and Svet Mangarakov, captivated by the history, philosophy, and strange afterlives of medical ideas. Across time, we’ve exalted it in marble and eviscerated it on the table. We explore how the body has been worshipped, dissected, politicised, pathologised, and poeticised across cultures and centuries. What begins with the body rarely stays there; it bleeds into ethics, aesthetics, power, and belief. Expect dissections filed neatly between the liver and the Leviathan, right where Galen meets Goya.
