Mahmood Khaleel Al Qari (also spelled Mahmoud Khalil Al-Qari or Mahmoud Al-Qari) is a highly respected Quran reciter from Saudi Arabia. He is the son of the renowned scholar and reciter Sheikh Khalil Al-Rahman Al-Qari, and the brother of well-known reciters Sheikh Muhammad Khaleel Al-Qari and Sheikh Abdullah Khaleel Al-Qari. This family is widely recognized for its deep roots in Quranic sciences and distinguished recitations, with several members serving as Imams in the Two Holy Mosques. He primarily recites in the Hafs ‘an Asim narration. Digital Quranic archives feature numerous recordings of his recitations, including complete recitations of the Holy Quran and various individual surahs. His recitation style is celebrated for its clarity, beauty, precise Tajweed, and a profound spiritual impact that deeply moves listeners. Sheikh Mahmood Khaleel Al Qari has served as an Imam and prayer leader in various mosques, including a notable period as an Imam at the Prophet’s Mosque (Masjid An-Nabawi) in Madinah during Ramadan. He followed in his father’s footsteps, memorizing the entire Quran and mastering the art of recitation. He is also involved in teaching Quranic sciences and is considered a leading figure among contemporary reciters.
