The English language is rich in idiomatic expressions. Almost every time English people speak they use them. 英语中含有丰富的习语表达。英国人几乎每次说话都会用到习语。 So what are idioms? 那么，什么是习语？ Idioms are commonly used expressions that mean something other than the literal meanings of their individual words. 习语是常用表达，其含义并非单个单词字面意思的简单组合。 There are endless idiomatic expressions especially about the weather. 英语中的习语数不胜数，尤其是关于天气的习语。 This is probably due to the fact that in Britain, people talk a lot about the weather. 这可能是因为在英国，人们经常谈论天气。 When they make small talk for example, it is usually about what the weather is like, or what it was like, or what it is going to be like. 例如，人们闲聊时，话题通常是关于现在、过去或未来的天气如何。 This is because the weather is so changeable.
