Psyched2Parent is a parenting podcast where real-life parenting meets brain science without the shame, guilt, or perfectionism. I'm Dr. Amy, a school psychologist, mom of two, and endurance athlete who lives squarely in the messy middle with you. In each episode, I take what we know from child psychology, nervous-system science, and school life and translate it into tiny, doable wins you can actually use at home. Think: after-school meltdowns, anxious "what if" spirals, tantrums, homework standoffs, sibling fights, Sunday Scaries, and those "I yelled and now I feel awful" car rides. You'll get short, practical episodes with simple scripts, checklists, and mindset shifts to help you respond instead of react, support your child's big feelings, and protect your own nervous system. We'll talk about anxiety, ADHD, executive function, emotional regulation, school stress, and what it's like to raise sensitive, strong-willed, or neurodivergent kids—always with compassion, context, and zero judgment. This podcast is for educational purposes only and is not a substitute for therapy or individualized care, but my hope is that you leave each episode feeling a little more equipped, a little less alone, and a lot more Psyched2Parent.
