Who is a refugee? What can studying refugee experiences tell us about our world & ourselves? Vy Dao & Bryan Banks organized a project at Columbus State University on Refugee Studies. With their students, Vy & Bryan explore the story of Vietnamese refugees from their expulsion through their migration & cultural acculturation across subsequent generations, challenging prevailing narratives of what it means to be a refugee. In this season of Refugees: A Podcast, Vy & Bryan interview people and groups who work with refugees & especially Vietnamese refugee communities.
