A gentleman named Bob Comfort came on the air — and nothing was ever quite the same after that.Bob had a segment called Posters for Your Mind. He'd take the week's top song and pull the human story out of it. It was unlike anything I'd heard. And sitting there, I thought: maybe I can do that.What followed was a broadcasting course, a record collection full of scratches, and an instructor who — wisely — kept me fifty feet from the turntable.That was almost fifty years ago.
