However, as they grow up and forge their own paths, she struggles to let go—especially with Paul, whose bond with her transcends time and the allure of romantic relationships. Originally intended to be titled Paul Morel, this narrative focuses on the complexities of maternal love and the challenge of breaking free from familial ties. Can Paul truly become a better man than his father if he remains tethered to his mothers influence?
