The Known Wet is a place that takes itself completely seriously, which is impressive given that its harbourmasters are sea cucumbers, its grandest cities float on a golden ocean where the light is always late afternoon and faintly unsettling, and somewhere in the middle of everything there is a storm that has been going for four hundred years and shows no sign of stopping. Ships ride impossible upward waterfalls daily. Harbourmasters file the paperwork. The world gets on with things. At the centre of it all — eventually — is Captain Cobsworth: a corn cob, a dented cooking pot hat, a wooden spoon, and an unearned confidence in his own navigation that the ocean has never once managed to shake. But this podcast isn't always about him. The Known Wet is full of people who have their own stories, their own reasons for being where they are, and their own complicated feelings about waterfalls.
