We’re exploring the commons of Waltham Forest: community gardens, East London. From fairy dens to parasitic wasps to 50 person outdoor feasts and streets filled with sunflowers. We want to know: what's so special about community gardens? Why do people think growing food can change the world? Who feels welcome in these spaces? What's a seed bomb? We will be travelling to record the stories of magical green spaces and the growers that tend them. In each 30 minute episode we will visit a different grower in a different community garden, and hear their stories of how they found this common ground and what keeps them coming back. Hosted by Ibby and Rawnak, food growers passionate about the people and stories behind the gardens. Supported by the Waltham Forest Food Growers Network.
