In a world so subversive that the Soviet Union deemed it too dangerous, We follows D-503, a cog in the perfect machine of the United State—a totalitarian society where order and mathematical precision reign supreme. As he traverses the glass sidewalks and meticulously documents his existence in records, he begins to grapple with an unsettling notion the emergence of what the doctors term a soul. This groundbreaking novel not only inspired Orwells Nineteen Eighty-Four and Ayn Rands Anthem, but it also offers poignant insights into the interplay of technology and individuality that resonate deeply with contemporary readers. - Summary by Roger Serling
