To the Ancient Greeks, this is where the Hesperides dwelled, and where the city of Atlantis fell. The snow-capped Atlas Mountains, shrouded in ancient Berber lore, were thought to carry the world on their shoulders. But little is known about this civilizational crossroad whose Empires have conquered all of Spain, Portugal, and North Africa. This is where East meets West.
