About?

Brand new podcast Chats of Africa with Kalungi Ssebandeke- we speak to talented africans across the world. Whether its an actress from Zimbabwe or an investor from Ghana, tune in to be inspired and moved by these Chats of Africa. Kalungi is an actor, writer, director who has recently moved into theatre and film producing. Since landing his first professional role in 2008, he has starred in varied list of shows from Skins, Dubplate Drama to Dr Who. On stage he has performed in plays across London and other English cities even earning an Offie Nomination for his first role out of drama school(he went back to train when he was 26). Alongside his acting, he has written plays, namely Assata Taught Me, inspired by the FBI's Most Wanted Woman Assata Shakur which will return very soon. To the surprise of many but not to himself he won the prestigious JMK Directing Award and now works as an Acting Tutor at London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts, the oldest drama school in the world. As an avid listener of podcasts(and an early adapter for the podcasting game in the UK with his first podcast Sseband of Bros. with his bro Moses) he is delighted to bring you this weekly podcast.
