Daily Hours of the Orthodox Church: The Horologion
The Horologion contains the daily Hours of prayer that form the daily cycle of Orthodox Christian prayer. The eight daily liturgical Hours sanctify the hours of the day and night by commemorating the saving events of the Holy Gospel, praising and thanking God for the beginning and end of each day and entreating His mercy and grace at all times so that we may be pleasing unto Him and preserved from sin.
