Democratic Voice of Burma is a non-profit Burmese media organization committed to independent and responsible journalism. The DVB Foundation was registered in Oslo, Norway in 1992. DVB expanded its programming and began satellite television broadcasts into Burma (Myanmar) on May 28, 2005. DVB started broadcasting on a free-to-air digital TV channel on March 24, 2018. Since the 2021 military coup, DVB TV News has continued to report the news without fear or favor. DVB Podcasts launched in 2022 to provide critical news and information as internet shutdowns and rising data costs are the norm.
