About?

A podcast about queer people in the history of Germany. Most people have heard of Stonewall or go to CSD once a year. Despite this, queer people have rarely appeared in the history books. Who were the people who fought for queer visibility in politics in Germany? Who dared to make films with gay and lesbian actors and actresses? Which queer athletes have spoken out in front of the camera? Which queer musicians have come out, and with what motivation? How have they been reacted to? In this podcast, our three queer hosts Phenix, Meili Scheidemann and Florian Prokop delve into the part of German history that finally needs to be told. Queer Story - auf Englisch - in englischer Sprache - in English This podcast has been translated with the help of artificial intelligence so that you can listen to it in your native language. We originally recorded it in 2021, back then only in German. The possibility of speaking with our voices in another language seemed as crazy to us as it probably does to you, but we thought: let's give it a try! Because we want everyone to be able to listen to this podcast, no matter where they come from, no matter what language they speak.
