Salah Ba-Uthman also spelled Salah Baothman or Salah Baathman is a prominent Quran reciter from Saudi Arabia. He is widely recognized for his distinct and deeply moving recitation style, which is often compared to that of the late Sheikh Ali Jaber. He primarily recites in the Hafs ‘an Asim narration. Digital Quranic archives feature numerous recordings of his recitations, including complete recitations of the Holy Quran and various individual surahs. His recitation is known for its clarity, emotional depth, and spiritual impact. Sheikh Salah Ba-Uthman has served as an Imam and prayer leader in various mosques within Saudi Arabia. He was appointed as an Imam of Masjid al-Haram in Makkah for Ramadan 1437 Hijri (corresponding to 2016 AD), which is a significant honor. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Studies and Master’s and PhD degrees in Tafseer (Quranic exegesis) from Umm al-Qura University. He has also held positions as an assistant professor and head of the Department of Quranic Studies at King Abdulaziz University. He is known to have studied under prominent scholars, including Sheikh Ali Jaber.
