This audio resource features a unique collaboration of two prominent reciters and an established English translation. The recitation of the Arabic text is performed by two highly renowned Quran reciters from Saudi Arabia. Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais, also spelled Abdur-Rahman as-Sudais or Abdul Rahman Al Sudais, is the chief Imam and Khateeb of the Grand Mosque (Masjid al-Haram) in Mecca. He is globally recognized for his powerful and distinctive voice which is often filled with profound emotion. Saud Al-Shuraim, also spelled Saud ash-Shuraim or Saud Al Shuraim, is another esteemed Imam of the Grand Mosque in Mecca. He is known for his clear, captivating voice and his scholarly approach to recitation. He often leads prayers alongside Sheikh Sudais, and their combined recitations are widely popular. Accompanying their Arabic recitations is an English translation of the Holy Quran. This translation is based on the work of Mohammed Marmaduke Pickthall, a British Islamic scholar who provided one of the earliest and most respected English translations of the Quran, published in 1930. The narration of this English translation is provided by Aslam Athar. Aslam Athar is known for his clear and articulate voice, which aids in the understanding of Pickthall’s translated meanings for English-speaking listeners. Therefore, this resource offers a comprehensive experience, allowing listeners to hear the combined revered Arabic recitations of Sheikh Sudais and Sheikh Shuraim alongside a well-established English translation narrated by Aslam Athar.
