Japan-based travel writers Tom Fay and Rob Goss chat about travel in Japan - from destination guides and cultural deep dives to behind the scenes looks at being travel writers. Between them, they've written or contributed to more than 50 books on Japan, including Lonely Planet guides, Tom’s book on hiking the Japan Alps and Rob’s recent book, Another Japan, which looks at cultural preservation and regeneration in rural Japan. Tom has also written for the Guardian, Wanderlust and Japan Times, Rob for the BBC, TIME, and various National Geographic titles.
