About?

Hello, and welcome to the Voiceover Learning Lounge! This podcast will focus on helping any audio learner become fluent at using Voiceover to navigate their mac computer, or get very comfortable with using their iPhone with the same screen reader. Everyone of all ages and abilities is welcome to join us, but just as a disclaimer, we’ve primarily designed this to help those who are blind or low vision, and who are looking for guidance on how to use a screen reader to navigate their computer or use their phone effectively. The description of each episode, as well as the title, will indicate whether it will be helpful for beginners or for advanced users. However, regardless of whether you’re a beginner or advanced voiceover user, there’s something in here for everyone to enjoy and benefit from! Each episode is a lesson about a different topic, and they are all taught by me, Voiceover Guide, a totally blind, highly experienced instructor of assistive technologies. The material will be taught in a very informal way that is easy to understand and follow. You will only learn what you actually need to know, to get something done on the device, without having to sit through an overview or some generalizations first. You can listen to the episodes in any order you like, but, if you start from the first episode and follow them in order, you won’t be required to know anything at all, about Voiceover beforehand.
